On March 11,2011 a magnitude 9.0 earthquake on the Richter scale hit Japan. A tsunami of gigantic proportions followed..On August 11th, 5 months after the quake I set on a personal journey on foot from Sendai to Kamaishi, about 210 Km to document the evolution of the situation. The debris are collected from the beach and put into enormous bags, then the bags are used for supporting the rebuilding of bridges and roads. 17 August, 2011. Gianni Giosue ©
